Release Party KDE 4.4

Finally!, it has been made the past 13/02, but certainly it was really interesting. It started around 8pm, and took around 8hours, wow, it has really extended. Some of us start arriving from a local meeting, with the purpose of participate in a local event(it does not matter, but it's the next event were kde-ar will be).

Suddenly, we sit and start drinking(yeahhhhhh), but around that moment we were 4. After 30minutes we were the double, and after that, we were a few more, so in that moment it really start. Alvaro start talking about kmymoney, and kde development,, with other things that appears. At this time we continue having some beers, but there were really expensive in that place, so we didn't take as much as we would like(horrible situation) :( .

After this the moment to eat something has arrived, and one of the guys invite us to their home(Miguel Angel Ríos), so the party continue there. We finally arrive there(on bus :P ), and arrive to his fridge. We buy some pizza, 6 or 8 as i remember, and we end them really fast.

After that(¡¡¡food!!!) we continue discussing about kde, and other stuff that appear until 2am/4am(i go out 1am, so i don't know what had happened after).

Some photos[2] of the past party has been take by Ariel Kanterewicz.

Conurbania 2009!

One year more, one year less, it's all the same.

Conurbania 2009 has ends, yupiiii, and it has really succeded!!. Conurbania is an event for the dissemination of free software and technologies in the area of Buenos Aires, where companies, institutions, schools, nonprofit organizations, municipalities and the general public may participate in discussions at different levels and subjects, but all spread-oriented free software.

The past 14th November it has end, and we stay there with kde-ar. The event began early with a coffee to get you up early (thanks unqui). Suddenly a lot of people appear, uff, where're there the kdear credentials?, here, there, aha, there they're!. After wait for kdear people we started with our first major participation in an event, we had stand!!!

Well, after this, we realized that we had not prepare the small talk(not the language), uff, let's find gnome people to prepare this combat!. After this we sit at the ubuntu stand and made this possible, see what advantages, disadvantages, and others. The final was better than expected, and can be found here.
Going to the talk, by Juanma

To end this day something we take a photo and something appear, something I should not miss, food, yeah!, a barbecue(Thanks gacq)

JRSL 2008 ends!!!

Finally, the last day of this conferences has arrived, I must say it really matter all effort you had in order to overcome this. obviously I must thank everyone who participated in organizing and working together since many months to make this possible.

One of the highlights of these conferences was the talk of maddog, where he dressed as an astronaut ,interpreting Mark Shuttleworth in ¿2020?. A sentence to remark on this was "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for Free Software."

For those who want to see here is a video of it.

I forget it, maybe this remain something(it was the mark shuttleworth certificate, signed by all expecting him at ¿2020?)

Also of that there were all kind of talks related to free software, programming, education, and networking.

Some pictures can also be found here
